Alix Pierre was born in Cap-Haitian and grew up in the city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, surrounded by the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the Caribbean. From a very young age, he was inspired to paint, showing a natural gift for visual-spatial creativity  the ability to imagine and understand the world in three-dimensional form.

As a teenager, Alix participated in a national art competition organized by the Board of Education and won with outstanding recognition. His passion for art grew even stronger after winning the Children of the World’s Art Competition in Jerusalem. He later achieved another major milestone in China, where he received a winning certificate and a gold medal in the Children of the World’s Art Contest.

These early accomplishments encouraged him to continue pursuing art after moving to the United States. Although life in the U.S. came with many challenges, Alix continued to grow through integrity, self-respect, discipline, and determination. He studied various trades at Long Island University, York College, and Nassau Boces before graduating as a Graphic Designer from Pratt Institute.

Despite exploring different professional paths, Alix always felt drawn back to the canvas, paint, and brushes. Painting and drawing have remained two of the most important forces in his life. Through his work, he expresses a deep love for realistic, highly detailed, and peaceful natural scenery. He also sees his creativity as a spiritual force one that has guided and shaped his artistic journey from childhood.

In December, Mrs. Jude Schanzer, PR Director at the East Meadow Public Library, invited Alix to participate in a group exhibition. He won first prize and Best in Show, which later led to a solo exhibition. He also went on to win an international competition and was represented by a successful gallery in Manhattan.
